On Monday evening, July 23rd, the Grande Galerie de l'Evolution at the Jardin des Plantes National History Museum will welcome us for a reception until 10:00. The beauty of this museum as media will be apparent as we move and discuss amongst 7,000 different animal species (extinct and endangered animals as well as land and sea creatures of all kinds).
Shuttles between Unesco and the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle will be provided (return included).
Inherited from the ancient Gallery of Zoology which opened in 1889, the wealth of the collections is exhibited in the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution in a contempary and audacious scenography. After a walk among elephants, giraffes, butterflies, moose, leatherback turtle, albatross... the visitor thinks about unity and evolution of life. After discovering the impressive room devoted to the extincted and endangered species due to human activities, he wonders about our responsibilites and the future of nature.
